Last week I started another sock. For this one I'm using Sea Wool in Periodot, which is comprised of subdued blues, yellows, and greens. It's pastel but not in a bright, "baby" kind of way, more of a faded, sunbleached way. The pattern is Whitby, from Knitting on the Road by Nancy Bush.
At first I didn't like the way the color was working with the pattern. There are purled diamonds that run down the center front of the sock, and the variegated colors obscure them a bit. However, I decided to keep going with it anyway, and now I'm glad I did.
