Sometimes I find a yarn I really like, but then when I try to make something out of it, it doesn't cooperate. Noro Kureyon is like that for me. It took me a long time to figure out what to do with it. I tried hats, socks, even considered a sweater or two. But something about it just didn't work for me. Maybe the yarn is too bulky. Or when it's knit up it looks too hippy-dippy. Or gaudy. Or Bill Cosby.
Fortunately I found a project that, in my mind, suits Kureyon perfectly. The octopus!
And once you've made one Noropus, it's easy to make another:
I don't really have a pattern for making these, I just make it up as I go along. But I'm thinking I'll figure out some instructions and post them later.
