Notice how there are no feet in these pictures

I finished Sock #1 of my burly Unst socks:





I followed the pattern for the toe as written (except for switching from size 1 to size 0 needles, that is). I've never made such a pointy toe on a sock before:




Today a co-worker accused me of having a foot fetish because I look at handknit socks on the internet when things are slow. I told her I may have a sock fetish and a yarn fetish, but definitely not a foot fetish! She is not a knitter, of course. . .
