At Least This Crappy Day is Over
Here's a pretty butterfly that my friend Amber and I spotted as we were walking around at lunch. Alas, it is not the California Dog-Faced Butterfly, which is CA's state insect. Nor a wayward Baltimore Checker Spot, state insect of Maryland. . . (Don't ask me why I know these things. It was part of a secret mission, that's all I can tell you.)
I'm trying to forget about work today. Beer and chocolate seems to help.

Hey Lin Lin, the North Carolina state insect is the Western honey bee or European honey bee (Apis mellifera). -t
