Squid Pal

I might have mentioned earlier that the giant squid that I knitted was given to a friend from work, Brian Newlin, in exchange for a really cool painting done in the style of a sideshow freak poster. I had commissioned him to make a painting of Jimmy as a "wild child," and this is what Newlin came up with:



(Jimmy has the painting hanging outside his cube on the dark dark second floor at work, which is why this photo is so grainy.)


And I'm happy to report that the squid has found a friend in its new home with the Newlins:
