What I've been doing the past three weeks

And finishing up Sock #1 of the Embossed Leaf Socks:



I made the toe shorter than the pattern calls for, because when I knit the pattern as written, the sock was about a half inch too long for my size 5 1/2 foot. I only did 7 repeats of the leaf pattern, rather than 7 1/2. The decreases on the toe are designed to follow the shape of the leaves, so I was concerned that not doing the first 8 rounds of the leaf pattern might cause the toe to turn out kind of funky.
