Most vexing indeed

Just finished this pair of socks this afternoon. I kitchenered up the second sock's toe in record speed, fueled by mocha:

Yarn: 2 skeins of Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in Poppy
Needles: size 0 bamboo dpns

I've already documented my joys and sorrows involving these socks, but here's one more twist. The picture below shows how much yarn was left over from each skein of Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock. Crazy, no?
